His dad said they did one when he was 8, I'm not sure I'd take him at face value and they didn't have any documentation, and the BCCI didn't back him up which was suspicious. Also it's not unheard of for the very best 16 year olds to compete in professional sport (Lamine Yamal/Rooney, dozens of tennis players, Littler) but 14 really is unheard of so I sort of defer back to balance of probabilities.

As far as I'm concerned as soon as he's playing professional cricket it stops mattering, and he's definitely u19. Age fraud has been happening for decades in the subcontinent, it's more of a domestic issue (getting school scholarships, call ups to age grade stuff) than a problem for international cricket.

Yes I agree. As I said, it only matters in reference to whether he's setting records as youngest Test centurion/player etc which is where people might start asking for more evidence.

In terms of this U19 final (on skysport cricket channel for those interested), England have done well to peg it back a bit. Keep them under 400 and it's a good fight back from 250 runs after 25 overs.

Still think it will be too much for us though. There's been a 40 off 30 balls but everyone else has been at a run a ball outside of Sooryavanshi's onslaught.

He is 15 from what I have been told. A friend of mine is from the same region and knows his coach. He's no older but his cricket journey is mental. From the age of about 8 all he has done is play cricket 10 hours a day. Travelling to the city on a train at 2am (3hr journey) to then train from 6am until 5pm and then tarvel back and do it all over again everyday.

You have to realise the most talented kids in India generally don't study at school. They are allowed to go and play cricket all day as long as they represent the school. Exams can also be passed by teachers manually. When they get older they get jobs in companies. But dont have to work, just go and train and show your face occasionally, they just have to play for the company.

This kid will go big, they are trying to control his eating habits as he loves food.

Not sure if the Indian doing the national anthems was trolling or just didn't realise but they've just play God Save The Queen.

Most of the England players looked confused as fuck
They should keep up and play God Save the King.

Just put it on and Rashid is getting smashed around by fucking Nepal! We have been embarrassed plenty of times by teams in the World Cup we should beat if these beat us this will top it! Fcuking Nepal

Been some close games so far with the favourites just about doing enough... Are we going to be the first scalp here?

Nepal are ranked 16th in the world and are no mugs. They should of beat South Africa a couple of years ago but shit the bed in the final over, and they've beaten The West Indies.

Netherlands beating England at Lords in 2009 was a much bigger shock.
