Actually, why did they start on the wednesday?

My guess would be the T20 World Cup taking up a lot of our test summer, so there are back to back to back matches and giving them an extra day, although tests 2 and 3 both start on Thursdays, so probably nonsense!

You need to speak to your parole officer about getting out more*. Day/night tests are a thing nowadays.

*My parole officer is very accommodating.
