one poor sod conceded 247 of those runs.
Didn’t they get 500 in a day last week? They got to 132-6, but then pulled it back, actually scored at a decent lick for once too.
10/1…That’s just mad. If Durham respond well, it’s a bore draw. Why bat to 800+?
Don’t forget for 1 wicket. Not all in vain…one poor sod conceded 247 of those runs.
No idea. Why win the toss and put Surrey in?That’s just mad. If Durham respond well, it’s a bore draw. Why bat to 800+?

Sibley notched 305 and the boundary on one side is slightly benevolent, but it’s a baked road of a wicket, and once the Kookaburra goes soft, there’s no contest.I bet that makes him feel better. Looks like a couple of the middle order went mad.
I wonder if it's one of those Oval matches where they put the pitch some way off to one side and the boundary is really short
Even more ridiculous is the fact that they’re not using the Kookaburra against India so only the bowlers with no chance of going to Australia are flogging themselves into the ground for no wickets, whilst the lads already in the team are bowling plenty of rubbish but taking wickets with the Dukes ball. Madness…Jennings and Green had good knocks.
In Division 1 today, the 5 matches yielded an average of 351.6 runs for 4.4 wickets. Must listen to Key explain again how the Kookaburra experiment will help England’s bowlers win Ashes series in Australia…
I love the positivity on this thread ;)Lancs with a 106 first innings lead.
Will be interesting to see how they manage not to win from here, like they always do!

If the idea was to get England’s future bowlers on their chinstraps and accustomed to seeing the opponent cream the Kookaburra to all points of the compass, then there’ll be strength in depth come the 29-30 tour.Even more ridiculous is the fact that they’re not using the Kookaburra against India so only the bowlers with no chance of going to Australia are flogging themselves into the ground for no wickets, whilst the lads already in the team are bowling plenty of rubbish but taking wickets with the Dukes ball. We stand 106 in front, Lancs with first inning lead (again).Cracking day out at Chesterfield. Excellent gritty knock by Jennings holding it together and Green's century was class. Definitely a bit of a greentop wicket so might explain the early wickets...speaking to groundstaff they said it usually starts to change on day three and a proper dust bowl on the final day in these conditions, so we'll see where we stand after Derbyshire have a bat.
I think it was 4 1/2 sessions, but they were setting a big lead, and really went for it (then predictably failed to win a game they should have had won mid-afternoon).Didn’t they get 500 in a day last week?
Sounds promising.Looking at the table, obviously Leicestershire are running away with it, and rightly so they've been fantastic. But below them it's all very tight, could be a real scrap for 2nd.
A couple of wins and Lancs are right in and amongst it, could be an exciting finish if we get our shit together.
