Was thinking 100/3 at lunch. So not a disaster. Pitch is mega hard to play on. Indifferent bounce is the hardest thing to deal with. Swing, spin and pace can be adjusted to with the eye, but the unpredictability of variable bounce is a nightmare. We’ve got to win the next session and get to 200/6 then we’re favourites. Harry Brooke though! What are you doing. You’ve just got the initiative. Look at the time and the match situation. Really stupid choice of shot. Great talent, but won’t be one of THE greats. Brain-dead batting. It will be astonishing if England aren't thrashed and go 2-1 down. This is a good India side, but not as good as England are making them look.

Pointless moaning thats what they want aggresive cricket.They wont change till the Aussies win 4 or 5 nil.We are always going to be for 3 for not many as Crawley,Pope Duckett are not good enough.

Yep, we are one more wicket away from the tail and losing this test. England getting 150 to 200 is not enough with a full day left for them to knock them off. England can not just sit in and defend and try to take time out of the game.
We need to be batting at the end of play tonight to even have a slight chance of a draw

He can only play against the bowlers he’s playing agsinst, and tbf one of the bowlers was Jimmy, who should still be in the England side for meA team that is struggling like mad in the second division of the county championship

True, I'd imagine him to go all a bit Brook at the situation.
Certainly England need to get through the session without losing 2 wickets.
Is this a refined version (this being cricket) of the gloom & doom City matchday thread? Or is there more justification for it?
