Stokes also big game player won games single handed..
Stat wise botham as a wicket taker is far superior getting 27 5 wicket innings and 4 10 wicket innings!
runs wise think Stoke just edges it! Stokes Bowling now for me is the best he has been but he has only 8 5 wicket hauls, Also his captaincy far better than Bothams.

Working out okay in this series, and against a decent side, not a bunch of whipping boys. 2-1 up, and in a decent position to, at least, not lose this one. But okay; I'm not going to argue all day about it. If I remember correctly, Alan Knott Tony Greig and Derek Underwood were signed up to it, as was Viv Richards, Clive Lloyd and several other West Indians, so it’s not really fair to use that as a way to belittle Botham's achievements, though I will concede that if the World Series hadn’t taken Greig from England availablity, Botham might not have had his chance in test cricket as early as he did.
