Gutting to see us get so close and not get over the line. Root and Brook took us to within sight of victory but it needed a decent contribution from someone else after they'd gone. Atkinson did his best there and credit to Woakes for coming back out.

Some fantastic cricket played in this series. Drawn 2-2 probably right result.
Great series and some great cricket but at times England were awful. The ashes will be very tough carrying Pope and Crawley even if get our best bowling attack on the pitch.
Those six drops by England made the difference between winning and losing the deciding match.Great advertisement for cricket nonetheless

Unlucky England gave it everything this morning but overall it was an incredible Series that ebbed and flowed in which neither side deserved to lose.
That is worldwide phenomenon not restricted to EnglandBeen great to see every test match have so many Indian supporters I’ve never seen it like this before give there team a big lift this..

Brook and Bethell throwing away their wickets yesterday when India couldn't buy a wicket are to blame for this loss. But fair play to India for never giving up.
They were actually being surprisingly sporting thereI genuinely thought they'd let England score a boundary.
Same for India in first MatchThose six drops by England made the difference between winning and losing the deciding match.

Also Akash deep this match and also Siraj yesterday
Lot of scope for both teams to improve fielding.
India with uncles was better fielding team than these youngsters,coaches will have to work overtime to improve stuff

Would it have been "a travesty" if England won that 3-1.
