Wow, things move fast! I’ve been out in London all day, expecting us to have solved our striker problem! Now it looks like we’ve been Berbatov’d again!!
Chelsea will beat them to it because Gollum is useless4 days till the transfer window closes. It's already closed for us, City are gettin no one else in.
I hope Ronaldo's salary to join United is on par with what they paid Sancho and hopefully all those egos they have causes a huge implosion for them. My fear is the rag cunts will win the league and or other cups.
I personally cannot see us winning anything this year, not even the beloved League Cup. Hopefully my eternal pessimism will back fire on me :)
BUT will Pep play him? I said in one of my earlier posts that Pep seems to thrive on adversity.. He actively creates it with his team selections so I worry that despite the contract extension, Delap won't get a look in....It's not even a situation of giving him a go. He is already a very good goal scorer. He just smashed the U23 scoring record last season, has scored more goals at his age than Kane did and he also already has the physique to play first team football. It's not a situation where we need to wait for him to grow and bulk up.
Yes he isn't the finished article everyone wanted us to sign but I am certain if we stick him up front for us in a team with Kev, Grealish, Foden etc. he will score a lot of goals for us.
Absolutely,, even spoke to a cpl of Chelsea after and they were saying they had no chance, they saw the lineups then that changed to, fuck me we really do have a chance,, but heyhome too mate... I had a fantastic weekend until I got in the stadium and saw the team... Fucking raging (as I'm sure you were too)
I am not saying Tixki out.
But the manager clearly wanted Kane, so why did we not back his wish.
Levy set a price, is the issue Tixki does not think Kane is value or thinks Pep is wrong?
Haha! How often did Micah bomb down the line to deliver to our forwards?Guardiola's football has proven to be exceedingly successful at three major clubs over the years. many also tend to consider it to be some of the most fun football ever. on the former point, i can't disagree; on the latter, i beg to differ. haven't enjoyed it at Barcelona, haven't paid any attention to it at Munich, still not too impressed with it at City. we didn't win a lot under Bobby Manc, but something like Micah bombing down the wing and crossing it in for any of our forwards to deliver the killing blow was a sight and experience to die for. these days, i just don't quite feel the draw.
It really breaks down to do you feel the club needs a regular centre-forward or not I'm not saying there is a right or wrong there, but we seem to have painted ourselves into this corner, the irony of it being that we have also broken the British transfer record, so its not like we haven't burnt money.Being objective about the whole issue, the last thing we need is a primadonna who walzes into the club on a higher salary than anyone else and demands to play every game (one of the main drivers behind him leaving Juve incidentally).
I think us turning him down has an awful lot to do with the above.
Let those daft rag idiots sign him just like they did with Suarez.
BizarreAll on our refusal to pay Juve's 30m demands apparently. I guess United probably are. What a weird window.
