I don't get it either. He is defined for his success at Madrid more than United. Infact the kids these days probably don't even know he was there at all.

Imagine that though. On one hand you could sign a guaranteed goal machine who would probably land us the CL and PL double, or you can happily see united lift the league rather than have him sign for us. Imagine openly choosing the latter?
 
Let's look at it from a common sense point of view, we all know that Ronaldo knows where the onion bag is, even at 36 and would be a great short term signing for us for a couple of years while we develop Liam Delap, we would only probably get 3/4 years out of Kane before the inevitable happens and the injuries start to slow him down, he has history now so it does bode well for the future.

Agreed, although we'd be very lucky to get 3 years of a top class Harry Kane imo/ime.

I would have him instead of spending £130 million plus on Kane. His wages would be huge, but like Messi his commercial worth would pay for him and he knows where the net is. Only problem is that he is a bit lazy now and we would suffer with our press. But he would be an excellent signing but can’t see it happening

Commercially this would be amazing for us, we'd make over a 100m through advertising, sponsorship,merchandise etc so it's a no brainer on that front.
On the playing front no matter how a talent he is, he's 36 years old doesn't fit in with the age structure of our squad, and for that reason I don't think we'll be interested even at ' 25m'
