That is probably true to be fair but £130m for 2 seasons would have been hard to take. It just wasn't worth it. This means we can compete this season and maybe retain our title and then we can buy long term or see Delap into the side. And it's going to be such a buzz seeing a truly great player, probably the greatest ever in our shirt. I know he's not so good as he was but he's still good enough to win trophies.
