I’d definitely take him for a year or two
Haha. I think the only thing anyone can hold against him is that he's a Cockwomble but he's neither lazy or contributes zero.Just the 101 goals in 133 games then.
This reeks of someone who hasn’t watched him play in his Juve years. Sure, he scores his share of penalties and wide open tap ins.. but his ability to create a shot for himself or let alone do something of quality in the face of goal has completely dropped off the face of the earth. 8 years ago I’d be all over this, now.. absolutely not.Just the 101 goals in 133 games then.
I find we often have too many people who have ability to create a shot or do something in front of goal except put the bastard away. This reeks of someone who hasn’t watched him play in his Juve years. Goals are goals, and we have the most creative team in the world. We can give him all the penalties and tap ins he wants. We need a finisher, and he can finish with the best of them. This reeks of someone who hasn’t watched him play in his Juve years. I don’t think he’s a lock for 30 like you think he is. He’s incredibly wasteful at this point in his career and I think he would only be a slightly better, albeit more expensive version of Jesus or Torres up front. Kane’s age was already a worry, but Ronaldo for 50M+? Come on.Goals are goals, and we have the most creative team in the world. We can give him all the penalties and tap ins he wants. He’d get 30 a season and the transfer would pay for itself.

I don't care if he lives in the 6yrd box. He will take chances we squander every week and could drag us to trophies.
I would hate his wank goal celebration, makes him look a right arrogant twat.
I'd sure you would get over it if he did it 40+ times for us this season? ;)I would hate his wank goal celebration, makes him look a right arrogant twat.
I have a personal aversion to any player who turns to celebrate a goal on his own. Much prefer a congregation as it signals a greater collective strength..I would hate his wank goal celebration, makes him look a right arrogant twat.
Whilst I agree with the sentiment - having a "cohesive unit" doesn't win matches - goals do... and they are something we are severely lacking at the moment. You don't need 11 men to "press" the ball when we loose itIf just one player doesn’t press then we don’t have a press and can’t win the ball back high up the pitch which means that our high line has to collapse back into defensive mode the moment the ball is lost and then build out right from the back again and again.
Sure you’d have a player stood goal hanging, with our team effectively reduced to 10 in every defensive phase, but I kinda like our brand of football with a full team of 11 working as a cohesive unit.
If you sign someone like Ronaldo you adapt. We would have to change how we play and I watched a few Juve games, he is still more than fit enough to press and chase. He just plays in a different system there. If just one player doesn’t press then we don’t have a press and can’t win the ball back high up the pitch which means that our high line has to collapse back into defensive mode the moment the ball is lost and then build out right from the back again and again.

He very rarely acknowledges the assist player for his goals. It’s everyone look at me, take a picture.I have a personal aversion to any player who turns to celebrate a goal on his own. Much prefer a congregation as it signals a greater collective strength..

Worth mentioning Juve just finished fourth and failed to win the title for the first time in a decade with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring 29 goals. Not done their CL ambitions any good either.
Meanwhile, our top scorer last season was a midfielder with 13 goals.
I'll take the cohesive unit.
