Italy...

I do not think that there is any country in Europe without problems with hooligans, lunatics, racists - or maybe just troublemakers as I think that is the main idea behind this. It is not fans of the club because as a fan I know what happens to my club (and my fellow fans) when I misbehave in such a way... - and that is just Europe...

There is regions in Germany in which I would not want to live if I am of African heritage... - and I believe that the German society today is one of the most modern in that respect in Europe.

There is other more important reasons why I do not want the World Cup to be in Russia...
What the fuck do you wanna say? That there's racism in every country, but Russia still shouldn't host WC? It can help Russia to beat racism. And the only country that is ready to host WC in 2018 instead of Russia is, I guess, England, but there're too many covetous mean football officials and such people in government at all, so they are simply not able to agree with themselves.

Yes, I want to say that there is racism in a lot clubs in a lot countries. And I do not think that the problem here really is racism (CSKA Moscow has black players and I do not think they get abused by own fans) but trouble makers.

Yes, I think that racism in Russia is higher than in a lot other countries in Europe. That is not my point. I cannot tell if CSKA Moscow has more racist fans than other clubs are - they have more fans that make trouble and use this.

My point is that Russia should not have the World Cup because of political reasons like e.g. the whole Krim story. Not that racism is not an issue.

I hope you understand what I mean there.

Why trouble maker? A real fan - a fan with interest in his club and football - no matter what more or less mainstream opinions he has - does not do anything that harms his club and the fellow fans. Like the hooligans - the guys that make fights around matches are not the biggest fans but guys that like to beat the shit out of each other...

Clubs have to do something against this types of fans - and yes - the local FAs and the UEFA has to fine the clubs because if they do not a lot clubs do not do anything against.

Oh - and yes, I guess I have to add something to be not misunderstood. I do not think other teams and their fans should be harmed by this fine - and you and your fans as well as my club Bayern and its fans are harmed by it.
Politic is apart from fifa as they have said a lot of times. Not sure about it, but I'm sure that they wont remove WC from Russia due to this mad politic stuff from western countries and ukraine.

Absolutely agree on those anti-football fans. There's some romantic in the fact they still exist, but it disappears when you understand that they do a lot of sneaky, unpleasant and unnecessary things. I'd be ok with them if they were only fighting with each other and support the team without incidents (especially at the stadium), which touches anybody else, like racism acts, fights at the stadium, pyro throwing, etc (ok with just pyro, it's not the same support without pyro - look at Eastern Europe or Parc Des Princes before 2010!!! It's not necessary to use it often, but it must be at derbies)

All right, let's get back on the topic.

I'm up for this. We get there on the Sunday so could go up there to suss it out in the Monday. Was going ask Alex if he could help us,we are supposed to be meeting his bus on arrival but he's not confirmed that yet. He may not run it with no game.at the price it is its restrictive to some fans so I aim to either re negotiate the price or find another vantage point.
All that said if city or uefa refund all our monies then we do have the option of sacking it off till we "draw" them and Bayern Munich again next year which we know we will.

Have to wait then. Any info if City still let trip if refunds the money? There may be enough men for this rent-stuff then

Just received this from the club.

Manchester City Football Club has been informed of the outcome of a review by UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary body into an incident in the UEFA Champions League match between AS Roma and CSKA Moscow on 17 September.

CSKA Moscow has had a number of sanctions imposed, amongst which are restrictions on their home and away games in the UEFA Champions League competition.

Included in these sanctions is the forthcoming Manchester City group stage game to be held at the Arena Khimki, Moscow on Tuesday 21 October. This game will now take place behind closed doors.

Furthermore, CSKA Moscow are banned from selling tickets to travelling supporters for the return fixture to take place at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday 5 November.

Manchester City is cognisant of the fact that fans will be affected by this unforeseen turn of events and encourage all supporters who have made non-refundable travel arrangements to email proof of such arrangements to mcfc@mcfc.co.uk, referencing the supporter numbers of all impacted fans, by 5pm on Tuesday 7 October.

A mate of mine had a similar experience at a Euro away. He follows an Irish club and they had an away match in Europe but it was played behind closed doors. The away fans that travelled were allowed in to watch the game in an executive box. I can't remember where it was, possibly in Romania.

There wasn't many travelling fans though, no where near as many as City will take.

I'd be up for watching the game in an office though, it would be something different!

It was Steaua Bucharest v St Patricks Athletic,

How does this penalise City - the tickets for CSKA are now sold for home supporters instead! Problem is - can we sell them, though it could be said that it is an opportunity for a continuous singing section to improve the 'atmosphere'. Don't hold your breath though.

Get the price right and we can have a full ground of blues for this one. Great chance for an Atmosphere experiment by having the designated away section devoted to a singing section. Lots of time to organise and get sorted. A full end of singing blues behind the goal would be a sight worth seeing and hearing.
would it? we've tried it a few times and its failed every time

It would work if they promoted it as a 'singing block' and didn't give 1000 tickets to viagogo...

I've started a conversation on facebook to co-op all the Blues who are still going to Moscow (there are some out of Bluemoon forum)), to sort it all out - arrange about meeting, watching EDS and 1st team, etc

Friend me so I can add you to the conversation

P.S. sorry if it's not allowed to post links/such suggestions here, I just want all us to still do well for both matches in Moscow
