Painful. We're all but out. Yes the ref was crap but at 2-0 up we should've won. But hey ho it ain't over yet. City either do it the hard way or not at all. So there is still a chance.
 
This is not manager's fault. Same shit happening with both Mancini and Pellegrini, it's obvious that this group of players have some giant blockade when it comes to performances in Europe.
 
Petition to finally scrape Yaya, tired of his attitude and inadequate play this season, he's clearly not the right place and i'm losing faith in him.
 
A predictable line up and performance. There is only one person to blame and that is the manager and his reluctance to change his tactical approach

the 4 in midfield leaves us exposed constantly to teams that play on the break and with speed )or that press as with better teams).

Pellegrini is totally to blame and he needs to look at himself. Why wont he change? Stubborness/refusal to accept that he is wrong.

We should have gone with one striker and 5 in the midfield yet he refuses to do so and we suffered again

There si no point in blaming individual players or even the collective players/team......they are being hung out to dry by the managers very poor tactical approach in europe
 
I went to put this game on but see it was on ss5 so was asked to upgrade. I dont have internet in my home so the other option was to ring sky. I didnt call them as i couldnt be arsed, so missed thr game. Thats how much i care about this boring bent comp and this is comin from someone that travelled loads to attend uefa cup games ,for which i really enjoyed.
 
As usual we had a bent/shit ref.

However, if we'd put in some effort at the start if the second half for 10-15 mins we'd have scored again and then could have rested.

Yaya looked like he had his 'I'll show you what a mess I can cause as you would sell me' head on. Not that he was poor on his own.

Don't know about BOGOF think we need to give a free shirt away to shift the home match tickets.
 
We need to stop trying to run before we can walk in Europe and go back to basics. We need to forget about playing our style of football because it quite evidently is not working. It is no coincidence that our best performance in the competition in the past 4 seasons was against Bayern with are second string side.

Lets just put out a side so we don't get beat, use our strengths in a different way.

Lets get men behind the ball and break with pace. Use Edin like he was at Wolfsberg and playing him in a counter attacking team. At least we will have the option of bringing on Silva and Aguero off the bench but it just seems that we cannot play to their strengths in this competition.
 
It was so simple mister...after 60 the subs should be Fernadinho for Silva, Jovetic for Aguero and Navas for Milner.You are totally responsible for the bad perfomances at the CL mathes. Refs are responsible for the results...

If we don t win the Europa League you should go.
 
Couldn't be arsed reading this shit. We're fcukin miles off the pace in the CL and nothing has changed over 3 or 4 years.

Those who wank over last year's Bayern away result delude themselves. When it really mattered, Bayern gave us a royal shafting.

It reminds me of an interview i heard (cant remember who) and they said you can often tell the effectiveness of a manger by the players reaction in the second half after the half time teamtalk. Cant help but think how flat we've been in the last 2 games directly after half time.

He was the one who took our best player off (Silva) and left a passenger on (Toure)

Just another manager who is afraid of making big decisions

Disappointing to say the least. Once again playing 4-4-2 in the Champions League results in us blowing it. Time and time again it has been proven that not conceding is more important than scoring. We need a major tactical rethink to progress. We also need Bayern to win tonight but a draw will suit both them and Roma so a 0-0 draw on the cards.
 
Fucking naïve beyond belief from our manager, shut it down at 0-2 and play on the break, way to open, clean sheet at all costs but he just plays the same way every game. He needs to adapt to situations quickly but is found wanting badly again in this completion. Not many of us can stand Mourhino but there is no way one his teams would have let that slip.
 
I'm genuinely shocked by that second half performance, not a single one of the players performed to the required standard.

There isn't a single positive to take from tonight.
