Listen to yourself.

So you would be happy to stick with a manager who does not win the league in 3 years of massive investment?
Lol as if we had a remote chance of winning the league in 2010 or 2011

3 years investment starting from 2011.

2010/2011 - Silva, Yaya, Dzeko, Balotelli
2011/2012 - Aguero, Nasri
2012/2013 - 3/4 others

3 years with massive investment.

If we don't win the league during that time then Mancini has been a failure and has to be replaced. I'm a huge Mancini fan and a big believer in stability but any half decent manager would win the league with those players and that investment during that time.

Forget about the cups, the champs league ect, that is all about luck. The league is where a manager should be judge.

Me too.

Money making a lot of City fans lose all sense of values and judgement. Success is based on continuity. In many ways City are similar to Chelsea. A rich owner buying the best. Let us learn from their mistakes and get a good manager in who can lay down the foundations for an era

No! poor cup runs and shit away permanences and losing a 5 point lead have made people think that perhaps he's not good enough

I don't think any manager of any team has a divine right to win the title no. Same if we brought Jose in. I'd want to compete every season, but I hope we ne'er sack a manager for "just finishing second". If they don't fancy RM long term, fine, get rid, but not based solely on finishing what could be 1 point behind the winners.

It would be madness.

So we keep finishing 2nd and the mentality is "there's always next year"? It's a weak mentality.
Is it fuck as like. Weak is changing every year you fail to win something, weak and idiotic.

If we finish 1 point behind te leaders next year, you'd sack the manager, now, over a 38 game season, 1 point can make the difference. That's stupid.

You're either happy with the manager and his approach or not. I have no problem with the owner replacing the manager if he has no faith in him, but to do it based on winning or second alone is stupid.

I admit when we we're bought over in '08 I always had this year down as the year we would take the title but 2009/2010 was our first full season under Sheikh Mansour with a brand new squad settling in with a manager change during the season to boot, 2010/11 was the season we settled into having a top squad and was always viewed as the season to get Champions League football, and this is the season we will be champions.

I want Mancini to be our Moyes, a manager that the board trusts, supports and backs through thick and thin.

-- Mon Apr 02, 2012 12:26 am --

Weak mentality is giving up the fight before it ended, quote Arsenal.

Having the mentality that we will eventually win the league, that the title will 'walk' to us eventually. That's complacency.

It's not the case that 'there's always next year', it's that 'we are not yet there'.

Spot on

Thankfully, we have owners with good judgement who don't make knee jerk decisions. They appear to have a long term plan which is currently ahead of expectations. I for one feel assured by the fact that they know what they are doing. Let's leave running of our (and their) club to them in the safe knowledge that they WILL succeed on our behalf.

why do people keep saying Mourinho would leave us after 3 years? he has constantly stated that he wants to stay in his next job and create a legacy in England

What makes you think that is city? He has publicly stated Chelsea is still the club of his heart and he wishes to manage them again in the future. City would just be like a toy to him.

look at past 30yrs, look how many managers we gone through, its about time we stick with someone and give him time, i remember we were laughing stock, going through managers like water, and what did we win, naff all, we have a basis of a good squad, theres a few that need to go as not pulling their weight, we shall be even stronger next season.

I wish mancini stays for many years its his first real season that we could win the leauge. He's bin building that mentality his own team and he's done a great job.
Hope he gets a New deal and ships alot of Mark hughes signings and Mario (sorry its time) bring in a world class cb because we only have kompany and Lescott who are class so we need one fast. And a great striker then he has a outstanding team what he built and will deliver the title

Give him time to finish what he's started and just start believing again. We have a manager in our dug out who can will many titles and cups so get behind him and to be fair i think our owners trust him and they won't sack him because they are clever
