The 1 of the best races I have seen was George Washington winning in the QE2 at Ascot Kinane in trafic takes him out and pushes the button and runs away from the field at ease. Maybe 1 of the greastest horses I have seen it was so dominant.

It was a shame what happened in the end to gorgeous george, always thought he shouldnt of run that day over the pond, wasnt it like a bog and sloppy?

Backed it at good prices for the 2000 guiness when it shit it in.

so small e/w then big money next time out?

Take each race as it comes, im certainly on him this weekend with a small EW if he's declared. See how he comes out of that before deciding on a big bet. I think he'll rack up a few on the trot to be honest, he's very well handicapped.
cheers mark. What mark do you think he can run to?

His injuries came at the wrong time when he was on a roll, so we don't know how far he could have gone. I personally reckon he can get between 100-110.

George Washington the only reason he raced was because he was firing blanks if he wasnt firing blanks he would be still with us now. 1 of the greatest horses I have seen and it seemed that it had a bit of a screw loose at times. Remember at Ascot it wouldnt go into the Winners circle for some reason but in all a brilliant horse.

On a side note am I the only 1 who thinks that Frankel will be beaten this year? Honestly think he will be beaten this season.

I can see him being beaten. Would like to see him run in a race with no pacemaker.

I know about georges problems on the shagging front, bit of a jaffa..i just thought he shouldnt of run on that surface, only my opinion..

On the frankel front i guess its only if they piss about with the distance that could beat him, or if peter moody sends the mighty black cavier over..

That would be one mighty contest if they met.

Yes mate. His last win was off 92, and he did that within himself. We think he had a few more wins left in him, but the season ended that year and then he developed his injuries which were undetected for 12 months. In the meantime, he's been rehandicapping himself.

Even if he can't get to 110....He's certainly a 90-100 horse, and at 78 currently he is very well handicapped. I think he'll need a run or two, and he is very dependent on rain, so he might lose all season and then when the rain comes in October, be ready to fly. Which is pretty much what happened when he racked up a 7 timer, in a few hot races. It's a question of if he can get back to where he was, Tim Easterby thinks so, and that is good enough for me.

If anyone is interested, got the following email from Tim today:
Art Dzeko in good form & ready to run, I think he might appreciate some give.

Clockmaker in good form, runs in Lincoln, the going may be a bit quick. Not sure of trip, will get if he is settled.

Collateral Damage in good form, working nice, needs some rain.
