They tested Camelot over every distance and ground this season. You have to take your hat off to Coolmore for testing this horse in that way. Look how long it took for Frankel to move up in distance and compare that to Camelot they took the risks but it didnt work out. Next season Camelot could well go unbeaten next year as they wont test him as much as they did this season.
This has nothing to do with Frankel. Get the impression you have a chip on your shoulder about Frankel.

No chip on my shoulder about Frankel. I just would of loved to see Frankel tested more than he was over a longer distances as well as just 1 mile.

But that's just it Leighton - all horses have a distance, and a surface,(and sometimes a jockey and track),that suits them best, and that is what they should compete on.
For example,Borderlescott is ten years old now,and still winning five furlong dashes - they don't force him to run a mile or more, because he doesn't get the trip.
I don't want to see Black Caviar run in the Chester Cup because she won't stay two miles and two furlongs.
It doesn't mean they are any less of a horse, any more than Usain Bolt is a shite runner because he can't win a marathon.
Horses have their ideal distance, and that's just the way it is.
Forcing them to run further,or over hurdles or fences when they simply aren't cut out for it is unfair.

Nij maybe so but it would get boring this season was great to see Camelot going for the Guineas , Derby and Leger and then The Arc a real test of the horse not many horses have ever competed in all 4 races in all sorts of ground. I know the connections were the ones who wanted it to try and see if Camelot could do what Nijinsky done all those years ago. They wanted to make there own bit of history I am guessing.

No problems with connections trying to make history mate, but I think we knew that the ground at Longchamps would be unsuitable after the Leger.
When Nijinsky won the triple crown in 1970 the going was like lino it was that hard,in fact they had to water the tracks.
Reading between the lines,I get the impression that Aidan had reservations about Camelot running in the Arc anyway, given the going and having had a hard season.
I think we'll see a different horse after a well-earned rest and hopefully some decent ground,as I still think he's a class act on his day.
St Nicholas Abbey is pretty much the same story.

i think they might aim the Abbey at the Breeders Cup again this season last season St Nicholas Abbey won it well there. Be interested to see what horses he sends over as the ground here has been shit all season. I am guessing Maybe will go over as well as Excellerbration if it doesnt run at Ascot. Just think that with this season the weather has ruined a lot of horses chances.
