The media is bent and has an agenda. One would have to be incredibly naive to think otherwise.

You have only to clock the difference in football commentaries between City on the one hand and Rags/Liverpool on the other. We score, and it's like the dog has died. They score, and it's like cancer has been conquered and world peace achieved all on the same day. OK, sorry for the hyperbole, but you can tell a difference.

Similarly, this Labour Government could bring about a New Camelot, and the Daily Mail would still want the Tories back. Yeah, Labour is far from perfect, we all know that. But the Tories got away with similar and worse shit with a quarter of the flak.

Why? Just because it doesn't say what you or anyone who disagrees with it says?

There are people who think the same of the Daily Mirror and Guardian.

Just because we may disagree with a viewpoint it doesn't automatically make it be wrong, likewise if if we agree doesn't make it right.

It's healthy to have a broad spectrum of views, we are none of us too old or clever to learn something new.

The Mail literally makes shit up, plus it fills it's pages with hatred.

I'd like to think that The Mirror and The Grauniad do, at least, try to stand their stories up, but they don't try to whip up hatred every day.

The Daily Mail loves nothing better than to whip up hatred. It knows exactly what buttons to push to arouse its predominantly gammon, self-satisfied, curtain-twitching readership. It knows that pushing up blood pressure sells.

When it's not doing that, it's rimming the royals* or producing some bollocks about 'celebrities'.

* The Chosen Royals that is. 'Will and Kate' and to a lesser degree Charles and Camilla. Harry and Meghan are on the hate list. Not because she's black, obviously. That's just a coincidence.

I put this down to scaring the elderly. It's a theme that cuts through a lot of their content. Same way they like to big up weather warnings and report on shark sightings.

sharks are not a worry as they only live to about 30 years so although they don't contribute at least they don't qualify for a pension lol
