Dangerous Dogs

Why the fuck would you have a kid in the same room nevermind an adult

The recent poor kid who got killed was supposed to be the dogs best friend, they loved one another I've seen quoted. That shows how dangerous and unpredictable that breed is. Got a kid and want a dog? Get it a small well natured breed. At least then if things go pear shaped they should be able to fight it off.

There is a guy near me that 'walks' his (i say walks, it's off the lead) it comes right up and starts sniffing, you just stand there because it's so powerful. It's not an xl but it's big enough. I wouldn't like to see it go for a smaller dog. Irresponsible twat.

Have you not told him to get it on a lead?

Makes them look hard mate, innit. The ones that amaze me are the women with kids who get one. It's like playing Russian roulette in your own home.

I have seen pictures of a family friend who has a huge xl bully sat with their babies, it is horrible. You just have to hide away from it and pray nothing ever happens. It's disgusting really.

Nobody needs to own a nine stone plus dog. If it turns a kid is dead and even if you're an adult you're fighting for your life. As for these XL Bully breeds, anybody who thinks owning one of these, especially somebody with kids is a good idea, you are a fucking cretin. If a death is the result of owning one then it should be a minimum manslaughter charge.
My missus was scrolling through social media the other day and showed me a video of a pitbull nuzzling up to a new born baby; and I mean new born, couldn't have been any older than a month. We both watched it open-mouthed. The stupidity and recklessness of some people is mental.

Loads of those about online. Toddlers jumping on big dogs and other stupid behaviour.

Dogs are potentially dangerous although some are more so than others.

In my view, dogs should be on a lead in public places. They should not be allowed to approach other dogs or people unless under control. A random dog running at you when you have your own dog on a lead is fucking dangerous. 'My dog is friendly' is no answer - mine may not be, or may feel defensive.

Many owners are not fit to have white mice. And anyone who uses a dog as a weapon or threat is a complete ****.

As ever, I blame the owners, not the dogs.
Maybe its all the fuckin fireworks they have to suffer…… it must feel like they are at war.

Anyone who has one of those dogs is a ****.
Surely now more than ever as well. I know law was brought in which will breed them out eventually. Someone earlier blamed the government for every death. That isnt and cant be true. You hit the nail on the head, it can only be the owners fault. Get rid of the dog, get it put down. They are a timebomb

This pisses me right off. I have a blue staffie, she's small, she's well trained, she's soft as shit, scared of her own shadow, she's never shown any aggression to another dog, my vet even once told me she's got the best temperament shes ever seen but she's powerful. she could potentially do damage if she was that way inclined and as such I don't allow her off the lead around others and i have her on a short leash when other dogs pass or approach until i confirm with the owner their dog is fine around others before letting her interact with any other dog which I just treat as normal, decent behaviour.

Walking her last week in the park as usual, some random dog that looked like a bichon frise off lead came sprinting over to us from a fair distance ignoring the owners recall, it immediately starts trying to mount my dog, she doesn't like that and moves away. It persists in trying whilst my dog continues to move away and is weary of the other dog.

the owner continues to stroll over at a snails pace, we're now walking away as this other dog is following still trying to mount her and we're actually walking quicker than he is so the gaps getting bigger, my dog is now looking at me clearly getting a bit agitated by this as its been going on for several minutes now so we stop so it's owner can catch up as i stand behind my dog to get in the way.

when he finally gets there to grab his dog, which he simply picks him up and doesnt put him on lead he doesn't even bother to apologise. He had no idea what my dog was like, he had no control over his own dog and potentially put it in danger. Shouldn't be allowed a dog with lazy reckless behavior like that.

All dogs should be on leads in public areas, and I don't think it needs to be anymore complicates than that.

If you want your dog to run off the lead, book it into a daycare centre for dogs, or take it to a private field which you've booked and paid for.

So many stupid fucking dog owners around these days, so many little stories to mention which have become regular occurrences, and the common denominator is poorly trained dogs, which can only put the blame onto the lazy owner.

Some dogs are fine and respond, but tbh I'm sick of having to run the gauntlet of risk. As others mention, the classic cliche is that their dog is friendly, it's crazy that they don't see the stupidity of what they're saying.

Anyway, all would be resolved if it was law for all dogs to be on lead in public areas.

When the fuck are people going to stop having dogs with young children , i have seen pics of bully dogs licking a babies head whilst the adult gets their shot for twatter . Wise up ffs

Surely it depends on the dogs?

Not many reports out there of spaniels, sausage dogs and golden retrievers mauling kids to death.
