Have you ever seen glen johnson play??? For liverpool he is their third best attacker and for England yesterday, he was again brilliant going forward
Shut up.

Re: Dani Alves

Dani alves is rated as one of the best right backs in the world for a reason , i have always seen him as a great attacking talent but have always seen a bit hesistant if we came to sign him cos i feel he would suspect when it comes to defending . but i havent watched him enough tbh to get a clear enough picture

Probably. He's already at Barcelona, what else would he have to leave for?

They are probably the best team in club football ever.

Re: Dani Alves

To play with 2 FBs bombing forward you really need 2 MFs to stay back unless you are dominating the opposition. Playing with very attacking FBs usually means that one of the FBs needs to stay back when the other one bombs forward to keep 3 in the back line.

Playing these type of FBs means either a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-1-2 with 2 of the midfield 3 playing more cautiously and the AM timing runs into the box.

Neither setup uses true "wingers" as used in a 4-4-2 although the 4-2-3-1 has 2 wide players who should be cutting in to support the lone forward and are usually more strikers than wingers and also tend to be used so they are on theor strongest foot when cutting in - hence SWP on left and AJ on right.

Of course the money helps, but what about a challenge etc? I get tired of the way the media especially the Daily Fail frame all transfer speculation with City in terms of who is coming for the money.

Re: Dani Alves

I don't care if he does only come for the money. If he plays to the standard he is capable of, he'll be worth his weight in gold!

Re: Dani Alves

It seems we are still in the market for a RB despite Boateng's arrival.

So with Arsenal today linked with Van der Wiel is Sagna on his way out?

Anyway it seems we will end up with one of Maicon, Alves, Sagna or V de Wiel.

Re: Dani Alves

Anyone who thinks we're in with a chance of getting Alves or Maicon is a fucking muppet.

Seriously, sort your head out.
