Welcome Dani, now Spurs can keep Walker for another year and I am sure his value will never be higher.
...and in '07 when they won the Copa America? How've they got on in that competition since Maicon left the setup?Yes, Brazil are doing much better now than in 2010, by pretty much everyone's beliefs. Particularly under Tite.
Maicon was great for a couple of years under Mourinho at Inter, definitely, but it was 2 or 3 years, not even that. Alves has been in the top 2/3 in his position pretty much every year for a decade. That's why Alves has been in the FIFA TOTY 6 times (and probaly will get a 7th this year) and Maicon got...1.
To be honest it's so immediately obvious just looking at them that they are completely different players that it's hard to imagine anyone thinking they're comparable.
Another Brazilian in the camp to keep Jesus happy & loving football at City, great move if it comes of win win win end of....This post all day long.
People have there own opinion but this signing allows Pep to spend 30-40m elsewhere what do people want.
We will have Walker the best RB in England & Alvez the best in Italy together we have 2 fucking quality players playing at the top of there game.
For fuck sake what are some of you after Danny Granville???
Pep has pulled this off & can be the best business in the league this season.
City being linked with Solmedo looks like there trying to get Spurs moving & jack his price up so UTD pay more.
Is that video your case against Maicon? 1 shot from 35 yards out that he could've been slightly quicker to close down?
Proves my point really. Fell apart down that side once he went off and Zab came on.
YeNot seen much of Juventus in previous year. is he still good enough?

Dani Alves - Yes please the best Brazilian left-back post Roberto Carlos era
They're comparable in that they're both obviously attack orientated fullbacks with a penchant for being caught out defensively.
He's playing in a back 5 with Bonucci/Chiellini/Barzagli/Sandro, not sure how you couldn't worry for him playing in our back line in a much quicker league when he's struggling with the pace in certain CL games playing with 4 world class defenders alongside.Just to prove we were conceding chances v real Madrid.
Maicon did fuck all, same as the rest, & Alves was no worse than any of them in that vid, this season, v Real Madrid is my point.
He might actually have been better, than the passive defending we see from everyone bar Kompany (defending, not that well, on his own) that we see in that vid, which was City at their peak fitness.
Real Madrid is no game to judge Alves.

For them, yes.
For City, we will have to see. But that is the same with Walker, Mendy & anyone else.
We don't know, until they play.
Yeah.... except he's a right-back.
Doh - I thought that and then changed it last minute, anyway he is pure class so hopefully we get him in.
Someone needs to get on the blower. Dani Alves has been played out of position all these years...
I disagree. He has been caught out plenty of times over the years, one of the reasons top clubs keep moving him on and replacing instead of keeping him around. But that's not true. It's lazy, tired bullshit.
Alves is a great defender by modern standards, and doubly so in a Guardiola team, where he's defending space, he's pushing wingers back into their own half because they are struggling to deal with him, he's superb 1v1, and he knows exactly what position to be in. He's brilliant at stepping into midfield and winning the ball back before an attack can start, or even to make sure the ball isn't lost in the first place. He is an outstanding defender for any team who considers themselves to be possession based.
Maicon, yes, he would push up and then rely on his pace and physicality to make up for mistakes, in many ways like Walker before Pochettino got his hands on him, but that's why he was gone so quickly, being one of the best in the world for only 2 years, he had nothing upstairs, he was figured out.
You're welcome :-)http://bet.unibet.co.uk/football/pr...ave-made-me?mktid=52:5201000022:blog_19062017
