This completely - or it Paqueta isn’t cleared in time, can’t see us doing this early doorsTo me, it’s the kind of signing you know you can make in the last week of the window if someone triggers Bernardo’s clause and he wishes to leave. Similar price as well. If we have landed our main targets and that scenario unfolds, then fair enough, but it’s hard to make a case for chasing him ahead of others.
Some of his play reminds me of Palmer.

Gundogan is one example, true, but we have other players whom we have only been able to patch up and who have been unable to play consistently for seasons. We already have an increasingly small number of dependable players, and given the pressures this season and the summer will exact, adding someone with a documented history of injury concerns strikes me as imprudent.
With the Paqueta news out, surely this gets done now? 51m quid release clause.
51m for a rotational player that`s fit for roughly a third of the season? Sounds like a bargain
