Olmo would be a fantastic signing. However Barca will probably pull another stroke . His agent being in Manchester tells me they might not be too confident this time

Nobody from the sun goes to Manchester for a holiday at this time of the year . He was making a backup plan based off the verdict in the Barca court case today .

Depends on who paid for the jet ;-) in all honesty, if I was gonna private jet it someone for a quick break over Christmas then it wouldn’t be to Manchester for a football match! Could also be a new deal for Josko?

I don't think it's a new deal for Gvardiol. He's on a long contract and there is so much that needs to be done elsewhere between now and the end of January. It's not a priority. Sure, we might want to put Gvardiol on a new deal but would it be so urgent as to make sure his agent flies over on Boxing Day? It could easily wait until 1st February.

My belief is that his agent came to Manchester to sound us out about Olmo. There is a possibility that he won't be registered for Barcelona for the new year so, acting in his client's best interests, he needs to ensure that there are other options should that situation materialise. I think Barcelona will, however, get him registered.
 
The lad is notorious for being injury-prone. We already have problems stemming from injuries and some here wants to add to that.
 
Considering Josko's nationality and Olmo's previous with Zagreb, could we be looking at Croatian players? Baturina?
 
Not sure the agent has done much to pour water on the fire by saying he's holidaying in Manchester...in December. Probably the opposite.

I'd be buzzing if we were getting Olmo. He'd add a bit of creativity in the form of being direct with his passing plus he actually has an eye for goal which would come in handy right now.

I can't see his injury record improving with the intensity of the Prem though..

I know opinions were divided on here when we were heavily linked to Olmo in the summer but that was when we looking to get him on a release clause of about £50m. If we could get him on a free surely it’s a no brainer when it’s notoriously difficult to get quality in the January window. He was excellent in the Euros and is clearly a very good player when fit, as well as being big mates with Guardiol. A gamble I would definitely take if we could make it happen.

That's what I'm thinking.

He's better than what we've got currently. But he's no prime Kevin or David.

And the big caveat is he is often injured.
