David Bowie RIP.

Do people really get upset at celebritys dying? Said RIP like his music but I'm not devastated, I must be emotionally void!

Don't know how old you are mate and I'm trying to be ageist but back in the day we only really had football and music, no computers etc, just football and music, and birds. I'm sad he's gone, not devastated, but I can think of plenty of my old friends who were bang into the man that will be really upset today. Heroes evokes many memories for me, it was a song that

I had this discussion with my missus earlier. And she ripped my head off, telling me she was crying for 2 weeks solid when Cobain copped it.

Im not being over dramatic when I say that was an earth stopping moment when I heard that on the news this morning. Fuck me.
Radio 2 earlier had John Peel hosting an old live Bowie gig. It was too much

Absolutely bang on...... football, music and birds is what it was all about..... now aged 52 it is just football and music lol

Absolute music legend and icon.

One of the best this country has produced, I can't think of a better solo artist in pop history to come out of Britain.

I don't usually get upset about the passing of a celebrity and I wouldn't describe myself as devastated but I am definitely feeling emotional over Bowie's passing: this is not just any old celeb. Bowie's rise coincided with the time that my love of music developed. He was the soundtrack of my early teens in the days when I owned about 20 albums - as opposed to a 100 times that - almost half of them were Bowie albums. I nearly wore the vinyl out on the four albums that comprise the run from MWSTW to Aladdin Sane. I have been a fan for 40 odd years so hard not to feel something.
