As an avowed Mancini devotee, I fear this could be his first serious error of judgement.
How he could employ the potato-headed, rag-sniffing, melted-face, hypocritical, City-hater is beyond understanding.
It's no mystery as to why he has been unemployed for so long, and has a managerial cv that would embarrass Iain Dowie.
I've endured his scathing snidey comments about City for a number of years now, and I at least look forward to his volte-face now he's earning our dirty money.
Terrible decision Roberto... I would honestly have embraced Roy Keane and David Beckham more had they been announced as our new coaching talent.

Mancini knows him, and I trust Mancini. If I'm honest, I don't really know that much about Platt.
Absolutely despise the guy for loads of reasons. Can't believe City have done this.
The only good to come of this is that we always have a scapegoat. So for any time I need one now Platt is my scapegoat.

I was never a fan of him,however if Manchini wants him as his num 2 then i can deal with that no problem whatsoever. In Manchini i trust ! voted yes !!

The man ruined Forest, got rid of their youth team and bought in loads of overpaid Italians who did nowt. The man is an imbecile, this news has ruined an otherwise goood day for me.
No idea what he's like as a coach, but with our current management under such intense scrutiny with a bunch of folk who obviously have already made their minds up that Mancini is useless and a waste of time, it's not the best PR exercise. I'm sure there must be others out there who could do the job just as well, but be less controversial.
