How come?

Thought he was hugely overrated. Never really stood out when I watched Valencia, though I guess that was more down to David Villa excelling there. Add that to the fact we signed him while he was sat on the bench for Spain, and I was not expecting much. But as soon as he scored that goal against Blackpool, I had a completely different opinion.
In that case, new question: How do you feel about Mata? :P

I genuinely think he's overrated too, so I hope he go all out to buy him, haha!

"The way City line up you would think it would be perfect for Silva, yet instead he's played high up the field wide on the left and that's probably the reason why he had such an understated season last time out

If he was played centrally in a 3 then I reckon he'd easily get the same size praise as the likes of Modric got in the media last season

Next season for instance City should be lining up;

--------------------Hart---------------
Richards--Kompany--Lescott--Clichy
------------------De Jong-------------
----------Y.Toure---------Silva--------
Aguero-----------------------------???
------------------Tevez------------------

That's actually a scarily good midfield, dare I say almost the perfect foil against Barc"

i was looking for extended highlights for the game against inter , and reading thro the comments look what i found !

Yea I thought Silva was immense today. Im an Arsenal supporter but I can assure you If Man City want Nasri and are willing to trade Silva in exchange, then I would be more than happy to see that deal go through. Silva is highly underrated and I would love to see him In the Arsenal kit.

just thought this post was Epic and needed to be here ..

With De jong protecting him he will have the freedom to boss games. i probably speak for most blues when i say were all really looking forward to watching him this season. He's mustard, the DB's, mint and any other word that describes something beautiful.

I think the only thing separating him from being as good as say Fabregas or the Barcelona midfield pair is his decision making with his passing. These players will wait for just the right moment to play a through ball where Silva is sometimes too eager to get someone through on goal and the striker doesn't read his pass. Needs to realise that most players will be a few steps behind him and he needs to slow it down a bit for them. But in terms of touch, movement, the ability to hold onto the ball etc. he's as good as anyone anywhere.

In another three years Silva could well replace Bell as my all-time favourite City player. And I loved Bell I really did.
