David Silva

I am surprised how happy you are to pay him 200k a week.

No way should he be earning more than Kompany, no way.

I don't think xavi and iniesta are earning 200k a week.

Where do we draw the line though?

We can't have all our players earning £200,000 per week.

!

We draw the line anywhere but here. If Tevez, yaya and kompany are paid 200k then silva should be.
is Kompany on 200k a week

Wow the money these players earn

Barca pay the highest wages in world football

Lionel Messi could end up being the best player ever and scored over 50 goals last season. He is the most famous footballer in the world after Balotelli so surely it is understandable about him earning 350k a week. Also the 350k a week is not all being paid by Barcelona. some of it is image rights etc.....

edited for accuracy

And they pay up front.

its obvious the ffp has hurt us this transfer window...but we have a quality squad no reason to worry now...as long as injuries to happen often

Not sure that's true we seem willing to buy but have been unable to land our targets yet.

Or Marwood wants to be a corporate rock star in the eyes of the owners. I am feeling frustrated about this but I think the problem is more about the fact that our existing playing squad has so much quality, it's difficult to bring in people good enough to improve the team and anyone who IS good enough will be wanting the same big bucks. That's why we baulked at Hazard and dismissed any notion of signing Robin Van Feed-My-Purse for anything more than £18mil But I hope we make one big signing at least.

It came from Marwoods mouth, and Bernard's. It is being driven by Bayern, scum and 1 or 2 others. They don't like our spending power

Time to bloody some noses after this season. A plus point from our new CEO is that he turned their finances around when he was at Barca.
