David Villa

Guillem Balague is a good friend of his and he was quoted as saying Villa did not want to go abroad for family reasons. I'm not certain but I doubt this has changed in a year.

He might if its a wage rise and first team football plus his old mate Silva vs no playing time at Barca and out of the National team. Things change.

villa is aging, he wont want to leave spain or barce really and moreover he's been in slump in form for half of the season. Had a chance to come when we were after a double purchase of him and silva.......I'd pass on this

No way would i take him for 40mil hes gettin on now, and he struggled for goals last season in the best team in the world.

Dont get me wrong hes an amazing striker, but if we keep tevez theres no need for him.

I dont think Chelski would take him either, as they have enough fire power

How about this hypothetical scenario?
Barca sign Sanchez for 25m. City sign Mata for 20m. Valencia use that money to bring Villa 'home'. Barca still have 35m of their 40m budget to sign Rossi or Fabregas.
Seems plausible, if unlikely.

I'm just scratching my head about people wanting David Villa, Aguero, or any other high priced striker.

It seems Tevez is staying, and Dzeko and Balotelli are both fantastic. What gives?

You can't have 100 million worth of strikers. Ask Adebayor.

How bloody far have we come when the majority on here (I'm not one by the way) don't want David Villa! It's unbelievable.

Sounds like something off the merrygo round thread :-)

David villa is a fantastic forward, can no one get their head round the fact that him and Silva have played together many times and would be unbelievable if reunited. It's not even a gamble, at present we have no partnerships up top and this would be another fantastic option. Beyond belief some say they would not want him.
