David Villa..

At Villa's age, why not just offer Tevez a contract on lower wages?

1. Villa is a better finisher.
2. Tevez showed signs last season that his pace is going, he wasn't finding it as easy to get away from defenders. Villa's game doesn't rely on pace.
3. Villa and Silva have an instinctive partnership on the pitch from their Valencia days. You can still see it when they play together for Spain.

If the wages could be agreed Villa would be a great short-term buy IMO.

Where did this Tevez is losing his pace myth actually come from? He has never had blistering fast pace and he looked as sharp as he has ever been last season.

You've been watching a different Tevez sam. He never did have blistering pace and looked like he'd lost half a yard last season. Most Blues I know feel the same.

Yet still voted our 2nd best player last season. Must have been doing something right!

Aguero was poor last season and if he has another season as bad then we can't rely on him and Mard arse up front.

If Tevez goes we have to sign another top notch striker. If we don't we run the risk of not competing.

His all action effort, might not get us the goals, but it looks good and people love a tryer when in reality, we needed the goals.

Both are quality players, Villa has proved again that he still has it after a bad injury last season.

If Tevez decided to move on Villa would be a very good option imo
If we could get him for a couple of pence & sign him on a decent 2 year contract with the option of a 3rd, I'd go for that.....

Villa would be perfect at City, would probably give the team 2-3 seasons of quality football. However, I really don't see City signing him.

You could actually say the same about Zabaleta.

Tevez chipped in with goals and joint highest assists.

Aguero was next to shite for 3/4 of the season but seems to be exempt from any criticism on here where Tevez and Dzeko get all the blame.
