You could actually say the same about Zabaleta.

Tevez chipped in with goals and joint highest assists.

Aguero was next to shite for 3/4 of the season but seems to be exempt from any criticism on here where Tevez and Dzeko get all the blame.

Except Zabaleta isn't a striker? and is a very good defender. I am actually completely failing to see the relevance of that comment.
 
He is 31 and only started 25 games in all comps last year for barca and most of those games he played as on the left or right in the 4-3-3, was a great player up until the leg break but is little more then a bit part player he scored 16 goals last year but 5 of them came against lower league teams in the copa del ray. I don't believe he is good enough anymore but I hope im wrong, rated him as the best CF in the world afew years ago.
 
We are probably not linked with Villa but Manuel Pellegrini always signed players such as Saviola, Pires, Forlan, van Nistelrooy and it didn't do Villareal or Malaga any harm.
 
I'd be in favour of signing Villa. Get a couple of seasons out of him until a youth player is ready to take his place. He'd hit the ground running with Navas, Silva and Aguero.

Cantsee him coming to be honest - i think we have better strikers and his game time would be limited - he would do well at Spuds / Ploppool and maybe Le Arse but cant see him at City - Chelski or Rags

Clearly a decent player just on the wrong of getting old for me
