Its an Arsenal type signing for me, ie second tier.

No thanks. If we're trying to become the best team in the world then we should not be wanting Barcelona's cast offs.

I'd take him! He's lost a yard of pace but the dribbles are still there.
He's also an excellent passer with good vision. You see like Ibra, Messi, and even Tevez on his day, having a striker that can support the play and put teammates through on goal is invaluable.
His experience alone is worth it and our strikers can probably learn a thing or two from him.
Muriel somewhat reminds me of Villa, maybe we should look at him because he has many years left.

If we buy Villa, Osvaldo, Gomez, Negredo or Cardozo I would be really worried about our chances next season. Those types of signings would show a lack of ambition, especially when we've let a world class striker go. Tevez and Balotelli piss all over those lot.
I'd sooner have Benteke. At the right age, can hold up the ball and is a regular goalscorer for a 21 year old.
