De Bruyne?

I think its about time everyone stopped believing everything written/tweeted/said on here. I think ( and I am not saying this because I passed it on ) we should all of learnt after the Delph deal that no one really has a clue what is going on with our transfers, its all hearsay, WUM and bullshit being talked.

I cannot imagine there is one person who believes everything written/tweeted/said on here, but I thank you for your concerns on behalf of everyone anyway

How do you know we are still in for him?

It was looking likely a few days ago, but the prospects of a deal are fast receding - judging by the reports that he is not going to submit a transfer request - seen as key a few days ago.

Can't say I am too bothered about this one. If we're going to spend £50m on a player we can only do it so many times. As long as the commitment is there to buy the best available players it will happen, but maybe not with this player.
We are still in for him.

We are odds on for him still, so if you don't believe we will buy him, put your money where your mouth is and make a few quid.

Actually it makes sense. The agents comment suggest he has told them like Ric said, but he is not going to put in a transfer request. City fans who expect him to are being a little over expectant. He has no reason to. It's City's job to convince Wolfsburg they should take the money. Debruyne is open to coming, but not desperate to come. And that is normal.

This.

Sterling didn't put in a transfer request, he just made it known he would prefer to leave, but he was treated like shit. It was upto City to work out a deal. DeBruyne has had no bustup with Wolfsburg, he is their player, so they are entitled to ask what they want for him.

If that's more than we are willing to pay then that's life. I imagine it will get done before the window shuts though.

I don't disagree with any of that. He gives us balance and helps pin defences deep because of his pace. I just find his lack of end product very frustrating. Like I said, he's a trooper and I appreciate him. But he's the Spanish version of Aaron Lennon. I can't recall one occasion where he's taken a player on.

If we're going to step up a level we need player in that position who can take the ball past a standing defender, or whip an accurate cross around him. Navas has shown time and again that he's not capable of that. His two options are pass the ball back to Silva or smack it as hard as you can across the box.

He took several players on 3 days ago, so did you not watch the West Brom game?
