I know footballers are not seen as the brightest sparks, but I imagine he realises that already. The question is whether it will push him to try harder to earn a place in the team, or make him slack off until another club comes a'knocking. Let's hope it's the former.

We're trying to become a CL winning team. If you think we can get there with a 32 year old Yaya, Fernandinho, a pretty average player in Fernando and Fabian Delph then we're going to strongly disagree

We have 4 senior centre midfielders too which just isn't enough for the season ahead.

There is definitely a gap in our centre midfield.
 
He is clearly the best passing player in the world, maybe his passing percentage is a bit low because of all the risk he takes with his passing, but he creates a sick amount of open chances for his teams. Wolfsburg lacked a top notch striker, and still he got the all time assist record of the Bundesliga. Aguero will benefit a lot from this player.

It would be suicidal to play Pogba and Yaya together so Fernandinho has to play.

Yaya is not going to be benched and pogba will demand to play every week as well. These players do not accept rotating, and cost too much to be on the bench anyway. KDB arriving rules out 433.

There is no space in our midfield for another starter. At best we could buy a back up for Yaya who has enough promise to maybe replace him one day.

Also look at barca's midfield. Their back ups are sergi roberto and Rafinha. That did not stop them winning the CL.

All well and good, but we still wouldn't get Pogba for £35m and Nasri.

I doubt we could get him at all at this stage. More so now we're in their group.

Balls if I can think of many alternatives in a similar quality bracket though. Verratti, perhaps, but PSG wouldn't sell.
 
Has it struck anyone that the club read this forum, know full well that we were spying on De Bruyne so have sent a van as a decoy to the hospital and in reality Kevin is currently at the academy getting a pre-match tour? Not saying that is what is happening mind..
