De Bruyne?

8 months this has been going apparently.

I really want this guy but a tiny bit of me would be amused if, after all this work, Wolfsburg just said no and then ignored us! ;-)

Bizarre situation looking from the outside in. A couple of people at work (admittedly not blues) thought we had bought him ages ago and were surprised it was still going on after reading the transfer was imminent weeks ago.

Hi Cobwebcat.....I agree mate, does seem very bizarre!....as far as we know, there is no reported 3rd party issues or large agent fees holding up the deal....We have been interested since Dec 2014 and De Bruyne is open to a move.....and have now rumoured to have had face to face meetings with Wolfburg and De Buryne agent in London over the weekend...and for weeks Wolfsburg have reported "still" no bids.....I'm not an expert but seems very strange.....maybe I'm just missing something?

1 in 1 out Equally over simplistic.

It's not actually. It may not be the case, but there are pleny of reasons why it could be.

What it absolutely isn't, in any of these cases, is City 'wasting time' or being naive or any or the other ridiculous crap people are suggesting. It is real money & real people, not fantasy football & Monopoly money.

Perhaps but there weren't many people giving 1 in 1 out as a reason until very recently, it seems it's just the latest in vogue idea because Jovetic has just gone and this transfer rumbles on. Much more likely it's the reason Ric gave; namely that KDB and Wolfsburg don't want to upset the fans which seems ridiculous but is the main reason Kaka didn't land here.

Why is it ?
Its obvious if we're trying to make the most from sales as possible,

So you came up with this when the window opened did you?

If you did then fair play. It's just one of many possible reasons including the one Ric gave. We will never know but to say it's obvious is not the case.
