De Bruyne?

Dzeko and Jovetic did fuck all last season. Actually, they did slightly less than that b

This season we have Bony and Nacho straight swap compared with this time last season. That's a stronger front three this year.

Lampard scored an equaliser against Chelsea, had a great game in the league cup and nothing more. Delph will get more game time and be a better fit. He's the legs we need in tough aways.

Milner is replaced by Sterling, thank fuck.

And that's ignoring the kids such as Roberts, Garcia and Zucculini who will get their first run outs this year also.

I fully expect us to strengthen further before the window shuts. But even if we didn't, we are stronger than 12 months ago.
We're defo stronger mate but I think the point is it's not a giant step.

Call me trendy if you like but we need new fullbacks desperately.

I never again want to see Sagna or Kolorov in the lineup.
cant see what sagna did wrong last season, and kol imo is a very decent left back, put him in the Chelsea team and we would be saying we could do with a lb like that, don't get me wrong if some of the big hitter lbs were available then yes I would swap kol for them same as rb and sagna

That is my view too, although the Stuttgart display was wretched. Hopefully just a pre-season game that blows off some cobwebs

Fully agree with this with the exception of Zucculini who will never be good enough for us.

Sagna stutters when he plays - no fluidity to his game at all. Terrible defender, terrible attacker. He's just a Very poor FB.

Kolorov is worse. Other than a free kick he is useless.

I know we'd want better in but I'd honestly go with Zaba and Clichy and kids... Rather than waste time on these guys. We should be respectful of course but help them find a better place to play out their careers. We are just not compatible anymore.

I wouldn't even try and get your head round it

he shouldn't have to force the move!! if we want him then we should make our intentions clear and put a bloody bid in!
I think you have to wait until Dzeko is sold. If there's no news after that then I think we can assume it's not happening.

What? The BPL is the more predictable top 4 between it and the Bundesliga. Us,Chelsea,Arsenal,United, maybe Liverpool at a push. 3 have won the league in the last 10 years. Same time span there's been 5 Bundesliga winners. So this whole notion that the Bundesliga isn't competitive but the PL is doesn't make sense. Bayern had it sealed up for weeks the same way Jose and Chelsea ran away with the league last season. So again when the likes of Spurs and whoever else can grab a CL spot like Wolfsburg and BMB did this past season from Dortmund and Schalke then you can make the case.

It's hard to take your comment seriously after the chairman of the last German team to win the league other than Bayern has said that Bayern will win the league for the next two seasons.

The German league is about as competitive as the Scottish but with a lot more quality. It's good in the sense that Wolfsburg, Dortmund, Monchengladbach and Shalke are all capable of challenging for the CL, but in terms of challenging Bayern, it's non existent.

Its not just a German problem though, throughout Europe football is mainly uncompetitive. Yes you will get the odd surprise result and might see one team unexpectedly challenge for Europe. However, aside from the PL, you can predict the winner of most of the leagues in Europe from two teams in the league.

What makes it even more ironic is that for all of UEFAs FFP crap, I wonder what state the PL would be in if it wasn't for the likes of Abrahamovic and Mansour?

It's clear KDB wants the move, and it seems he's telling city what they need to do. I can work out why we haven't bid yet, it's getting ridiculous now.

I haven't seen enough of Zuculini to judge. Surprised anyone has. But he did well at Stuttgart

He did well last preseason aswell. However, my worry with him is that he never got a look in at Valencia and didn't exactly stand out at Coroba.

I'd say last seasons form would be a much better indicator of a players ability rather than a few preseason minutes.

And with no disrespect to Valencia, we should not even be contemplating playing players who would not get a sniff in their team.

I know he struggled in Spain, but going out on loan isn't easy.

Also look at Delph. His start to his Villa career was very poor, then he came good
