De Bruyne?

You never know, maybe Moaninho knows he can get in de Bruyne's head because he genuinely is mentally weak.

Or de Bruyne has matured and he will go and show what Moaninho has missed out on!

He certainly isn't mentally weak. He's been shoved from pillar to post since he joined Chelsea, told to fuck off as he wasn't suited to Jose (something which would have knocked many young kids out of their stride) and has developed his game to the extent that some of the biggest teams in Europe are now willing to pay upwards of £40m to sign him. No, Jose's dropped a bollock on this one. He knows it and no amount of posturing in the media will fool Abramovic otherwise.

Mourinho: De Bruyne's mentality too weak for Chelsea

The Belgian is a target for Manchester City, with the Premier League runners-up reportedly planning a £50 million bid, but the Portuguese was not impressed by the player's desire

Jose Mourinhosays he soldKevin De Bruynebecause the midfielder's mentality was not strong enough to play forChelsea.

The Belgian, who is a target for Manchester City and could be the subject of a £50 million bid from Manuel Pellegrini, left for Wolfsburg in January 2014 in an £18m deal after struggling for game time.

De Bruyne has gone on to excel in the Bundesliga, notching a record-equalling 20 assists last season to attract the interest of City - a potential move Mourinho insists he would hold no regret over.

"I am happy for him, because he is a good kid," he told reporters. "I wanted to keep him. But he couldn't handle fighting for his place in such a competitive squad.

"He told me it was not in his personality to be competing for a position in the team. He needed a team where he knows he can play every game."

Mourinho says the increased competition for places at Chelsea was not to De Bruyne's liking despite City boasting similar strength in depth with the likes of David Silva, Raheem Sterling and Jesus Navas.

He continued: "I told him, 'This is Chelsea. You are very young, you have Eden Hazard, you have Mata, you have Willian, you have Schurrle, and I cannot promise you that.'

"He told me he was not happy. He was not training very well, I was asking for more and he was saying, 'I can't give you more. This is just my way'.

"So yes. I accept that if this his mentality and that if it is his choice to go, it is better for Chelsea to make a good deal.

"We sold him, made our money and it was fantastic because we bought him cheap and sold him for a fantastic price. Now Wolfsburg, if they make a fantastic deal, that is good for them."

This is fucking poetry

I felt like Hannibal Lecter listening to Bach reading that

Something doesn't fit in those wide forward positions if De Bruyne comes.

Silva, Sterling, De Bryune, Nasri, Navas, Lopes.

6 for two positions. At least one has to go assuming we're playing this 4-3-3 and not the old 4-2-3-1.

BILD are reporting that Wolfsburg is looking at going after Draxler (possible replacement for De bruyne can be assumed)

I seriously doubt that we have the right midfield personnel to play 4-3-3, just my opinion, but 4-2-3-1 looks a more likely formation to me.

I can see nasri or silva dropping into the midfield 3 in matches against cloggers kinda like, pogba-nasri-delph kdb-kun-sterling or yaya-silva Fernandinho Sterling-kun-Kdb. In Europe tho pogba-yaya-delph silva-kun-kdb/sterling. It gives us a lot of options and makes us less predictable. Last season teams could practise knowing exactly who would play and how, now tho we COULD have a very versatile/flexable Squad

It'll be 4231. Silva in the middle, Sterling and De Bruyne on the wings, Nasri and Navas are rotation/back up players, and Lopes goes out on loan again as he'd go backwards staying here this season.
