De Bruyne?

I don't understand as to why Jose never gave De Bruyne a decent chance at Chelsea, especially when he was already breaking into the Belgian national squad and showing great promise!. So if we were to sign him, and he was to match the form he had in the Bundesliga last season it would be lovely for mister "big ego" Jose to see that he is has missed a trick in KDB!

We need to do better with this thread. Both Sterling and Pogba threads are over 1500 pages, yet this hasn't even broken through the 300 barrier yet. He won't sign if we don't show him the love ;)

De Bruyne has certainly improved a great deal since leaving for Wolfsburg, he's by far a better player than he was at Chelsea, plus he did have a succession of niggly injuries at Chelsea that prevented him getting a run of games, so Mourinho can't be totally blamed for letting him go too early, and too cheaply. Having said that, Mourinho was clearly too hasty in cutting his perceived losses on De Bruyne and selling him on.

Cannot recall any real problems with Lescott purchase

Surely you jest? The Lescott transfer was probably the most protracted and bitter transfer since the takeover. Moyes was throwing hissy fits in the media every day. We had Everton fans coming on here causing trouble and even after if had gone through, Moyes was so bitter he stirred it all up again in his programme notes the year after.

I think De Bruyne realised Hazard-Oscar-Willian was going to be Mourinho's preferred 3, and got out ASAP because he wanted playing time at that age. Can't blame him for that, he could well have been stuck on the bench like Cuadrado and Salah before him.

Would love us to sign this lad. Amusing how the press are describing him as a chelsea flop now we are stepping up our interest. No such description for falcao and his time at utd.
