De Bruyne?

His value has risen exponentially in a short space of time. I can't confess to knowing everything about him but read a lot of positive things. Is he as good as someone like Hazard?

No, not remotely near that level regardless of what they tell you on here.

I have a feeling all this (false) press on a 60m£ offer might have a really bad impact on negotiations, which is why it may take a while longer. it's crazy how all of the media is claiming an offer of around 80m€ based on presumably nothing.

Wolfsburg president just said they haven't recieved any bids and he has not told them he wants to leave

Chairmen/Managers/Presidents of clubs who are potentially selling a player say all sorts of stuff, and all of it aimed at getting what they want. In this instance I suspect what they want is the most money for De Bruyne that they can. All the (informed) rumours point to De Bruyne wanting to come here. What the president says is probably, technically, accurate. City may well not have made an official bid yet, doesn't mean we're not in negotiations. De Bruyne may also not have, officially, informed the club he wants to leave, doesn't mean he doesn't.

What are his strengths and weaknesses please pal?
The accuracy of his delivery, gets the ball in quickly for stikers, Bony will love feeding off him.
He has a good strike on him too and will score a few screamers from outside the box. A very good acquisition
for the club even if it's over the odds.
However, the question was is he at Hazards level and I'd say not remotely near that. He won't be as influential a player
for City as Kun, Silva or Toure for instance, they are a level ahead of him.

So a set piece specialist as well? corners for instance??;-)

I haven't seen a great deal of him but I suspect we'd be purchasing a better, more direct and pacier Nasri?

I didn't see every game he played last season by any means but the word from Germany is he's very consistent which Samir doesn't give us.
I suspect its a temperament issue with Nasri really, the game in the nou camp last season being a case in point.
Somebody alluded to on this thread that they could see KDB playing centrally eventually. That's a big call and he certainly won't
be getting the free kicks around the box off Yaya anytime soon.
I'm certainly happy we've signed him but don't expect him to stand out amongst so many top internationals straight away.
He also likes to take people on and can lose the ball frequently because of this.
He'll probably have to improve around ball retention and patience which is key for a modern
Manchester City player.
We may need to be patient too......

Two and a half weeks away from West Bromwich game in case any of you want to start another flap-fest.

Are those people that are suggesting we could now win the champs league with him in our team massively over exaggerating or am i severely underrating this guy? There's no doubt he's a good player, very good even, but is he the player to provide the step up to be able to compete with the likes of Real Madrid and Barca? I just don't see it, especially when you look at what we have in similar positions, he'll be a great addition but will he drastically improve our starting 11? I'm struggling to even fit him into the team.

If we get KDB and Pogba we are legit challengers. The CL is a crapshoot once you get to the later rounds. These signings put us in the running IMO. KDB, alone...no.

As much as i want pogba, KDB is the one i want the most imagine the amount of service and chances Sergio and Sterling will get with Silva, Yaya and KDB behind. Stuff of Dreams !!
