I wonder how much of the delay is down to City not trusting Roma to try and pull a fast one if we agreed to buy de Bruyne before Dzeko has formally signed for Roma. Dzeko signs for Roma and then de Bruyne deal accelerates I think.

He can play there as can MD but it is not their best position and neither are particularly suited to the role. Kompany doesn't have the skills required to be an effective CM player for a top team.

Aguero is better than Rooney(but probably won't feature half of the games) as Silva than Depay, but Mata and Pedro are better than KdB and Sterling.

If the MEN are to be believed Dzeko is due to go to Rome for his medical in the 'next few days' Not much urgency there then! And if we are waiting until his transfer is done before we make any bids then the will he won't he be coming is due to drag on until next week at the earliest!
