De Bruyne?

I've noticed that our Spanish speakers often drop the 'S' from what should be plural in their sentences - so you can't tell whether he meant one, two or many

In Spanish when a word ends on 'S' it's often ignored, having watched quite some Barcelona on Spanish streams last season the commentators would always say Lui Suare, Dani Alve, Sergio Busque, etc. Makes for quite some confusion in this particular case though.

We could accommodate De Bruyne. I've posted my logic behind this before.

The issue is we need a quality holding midfielder to allow the system we would use to work. We don't have one.

It's our biggest issue. The reasoning behind the defence being so shaky is down to the middle of the park and that the focus is on being an attacking team that scores the most goals.

That last part, Pelligrini basically said that himself tonight.

I genuinely don't think the club are too fussed if we concede more goals than Chelsea or Arsenal etc etc. More concerned with scoring enough goals to win football matches. The majority of them.

Our back 4 is actually very decent. The addition of a quality, holding midfielder alongside De Bruyne, and I think we are mustard.

Btw that quality holding midfielder was supposed to be Fernando. Personally, I think he's shit, but I've seen a lot of players deliver in their 2nd season in the PL.............

You never know ;)

Does anyone subscribe to Didi Hamann's view of KDB which is basically that the reason he is performing to such a high level at Wolfsburg is because he is at a club with no pressure. I personally think it's simply due to the fact that he is coming into his peak years and is starting to fulfill his potential. He also says De Bruyne is a good player but won't take us to the title. I disagree, he was voted Bundesliga Player of the Season, seems like he's a bit more than a "good player" to me.
The only thing Didi Hamann is good at is losing money at the bookies

got to admit the Sterling-Silva partnership is working a lot better than i thought it would after a couple of weeks, add kDB to that and if he gels as well as Sterling and Silva have, it will be a scary prospect for any team we face.

@JustAnotherCityFan surely they can see Rooney is going down the Scholes path ? and has been for a couple of years to me, a striker who can pass drop him in to midfield, as much as I hate uShited, I have to admit Rooney is a capable striker or traditional number 10, his passing range is exceptional, and as we know from that flukey shinner, he can score a goal or two.
(ffs that hurt saying that)

Rooneys passing is pretty shit. Whenever he drops back to midfield he tries 40-50 yard Hollywood passes that go nowhere near their target and are often easily intercepted. He does have an eye for goal though...and grannies.

Together with "he will not have the space at X!" this "pressure" talking to me is bullshit. This guy is 24 and carried a team alone to the 2nd place in the league and the DFB-Cup. Of course there was pressure on him, it`s just the question if you care or not. Two goals and one assists in a match against Bayern, don`t you think every player is under pressure in such a game? Fact is that KDB always performed, it seems especially against the better teams, so I personally can`t agree with Hamann.

As he's never moved back to Germany how much does he even follow their league ?
