De Bruyne?

When you look at the amount of ball Navas had today, I'd be surprised if KDB wasn't salivating at the thought of playing for us.

Yeah, I can't imagine it would've put him off playing for us! Thought Navas did OK tonight though, but that's for another thread.

Not the first poster to say that. Where this "kagawa won bundesliga POTY" shit comes from?

He hasn't won it......his only personal achievements are.... He got in some sort of European media writers team of the year,he was J league div 2 top scorer, and was voted asian international player of the year, that's it.

Here in Brazil, supporters of English clubs are rooting against the signing of De Bruyne. Speaking that if the Belgian sign, the City will win the Premier League

Don't even compare us to United. Do you know how much sport science City have behind them? We will know what De Bruyne ate for his brunch on the 3rd October 2006. We'll know how many times he exhaled in Wolfsburg's home game against BVB last season. We'll have simulated how he will link up with the first team. We've probably wire tapped his house and monitor his porn browsing habits.

As averse to United who bought Kagawa to replace Park in the Asian Shirt Sale Player category and to link up with Bebe.

Some random United fan probably mentioned it at some point and then enough people repeat it so someone who doesn't do a bit of homework gets sold on it. To clear up any confusion for others, Kagawa never won the official award nor did he win the player of the year in Germany as KDB just won in addition to the BuLi player of the year. He supposedly won some sort of fan vote for the 11/12 season. For the official award, he was nowhere close:

[Marco Reus] received 30% of the vote to finish ahead of FC Bayern München's Franck Ribéry (16.3%) and the league's top scorer, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar of FC Schalke 04 (12.5%).

The fact fact Wolfsburg haven't rejected the bid suggests they are waiting for De Bruyne to force their hand.

Sorry for going off topic but Shinji Kagawa never got voted for the Bundesliga team of the year, but along with Vincent Kompany got voted in European Sports Media's team of the season.

You reckon? Hope so. I'm just a bit wary that the german league is a bit crap and he won't have it anwyhere near as easy over here

Bundesliga gets looked down on a bit too much on here, it doesn't have any other top teams than Bayern but overall it's actually a pretty strong league. All of their teams in CL made it to the knockout stages for example, and even if three of them went out in the round of 16 Leverkusen did take Atletico to penalties, Schalke technically should have knocked Real Madrid out if not for an offside Benzema goal that was wrongly given, and Dortmund went out to the eventual runner-ups. So even if they don't have more than one top team they have a lot of teams of Arsenal-ish quality, and a good handful of Liverpools and Tottenhams too, so it's still pretty balanced.

Also, it's worth mentioning De Bruyne tore Bayern apart in a match, getting 1 assist and 2 goals iirc, so he's definitely proven as top top quality.
