Do clubs decide that they'll complete a transfer on a particular day? Could they have done it yesterday but decided it wasnt the right day?

Don't know TBH. Bid for the player could have been made at anytime and accepted but to allow Wolfsburg the chance of looking good they have released the bids and rejections bit by bit and commented on them making city look bad and themselves look good. There agin fuck all might have happened, but that is not a view I take. :-)
 
I think figures can be discussed between clubs, without a formal bid. It would be easy to assume that KDB's demands have been met through speaking with his agent, and that were agreeing a fee with Wolfsburg before an official bid is made. Not sure what the hold up is, but I assume its something to do with allowing Wolfsburg to put groundwork in on a replacement player and a lot of PR put in progress by both clubs. Hopefully before a very swift transaction that could see him here before tomorrow evening.

Its all politics mate. They don't want to look weak and De Bruyne doesn't want to look like a shit to the club who have given him this opportunity. Will all come out in the wash...today hopefully.

Didnt think you was mate. I am certainly know an ITK mate. My mate knows a lad who has something to do with City. Not even sure of what. Just want it done now and announced.
