FFP was largely relaxed because Platini saw the futility in it with our new tv deal. English league revenues are so high he worried it would put English clubs permanently above other leagues. Avoiding relegation in the PL is actually much more profitable than even winning the CL.

Upside is we're free spenders again without worrying about FFP.
