Exactly.

That said, at his age, he has a sell on fee...or will be a long term servant. That is worth something. However, the asking price is, IMHO, silly money.

By the same token,based on your theory,all of the named players were also a risk,playing in a new league.There are times when you have to bite the bullet and pay more than you wished for,if you believe that a certain player COULD take you to that next level.
That is why I for one trust our Management Team as I`m certain so does our magnificent Owner.

Sooooooo many hypercrits on here. They obvs don't want to see their best player leave and have repeatedly said that. Wat would we expect if real badgered Sergio all summer despite us saying we didn't want him to leave and don't need the money. We'd be delighted if our chairman stringed it on so long that the window shut without selling. We'd be delighted. Lots of double standards on here.
Still hope he signs but I'm a bit uncomfortable about it now. They don't want to sell end of and if he wants to sign so desperately he should put in a transfer request.
 
To be fair to Wolfsburg and Aloff they are doing the right thing for there club. In there situation we would be doing the same thing. It will happen when it happens, take a chill pill.

Silva, Aguero and Yaya were risks. Hindsight allows you to claim otherwise but none of them had played in the premier league and none of them were as good as they are now for City.

A lot of people on this forum think that any form of non-positive arse licking of all aspects of the club means you're a moaning ****. It's proper tiresome!

And many don't get that saying something like you have isn't criticism, it's an observation. For all they know Txiki could be thinking the exact same thing.

de Bruyne's had one outstanding season in his career and it's being reported that the price may be £57m when the reports were that we were going to put a £18-20m bid in at Christmas.
 
I will maintain what I said earlier - Wolfsburg have been an absolute nightmare to deal with it would seem. It's now down to KDB to grow a pair of bollocks and put a bit of pressure on Wolfsburg. Keep hearing people saying its 95% done, terms agreed, medical in 48 hours. What a load of bollocks. He has played about 3 games since it was nearly done and the asking price increases by the day. Take it or leave it bid by city required now, give Wolfsburg a time limit and let KDB apply some pressure cos this is ridiculous.
