I bet with my head, not my heart. I just think if it was going to be done it would have by now.
 
I hope we sign KdB, even for a huge fee (not my money). But I also think we need to keep some perspective: he'd be our 4th/5th most important midfielder: behind Silva, Yaya, Sterling, and possibly Fern. I like KDB; he'd be a very capable orchestrator, along with the brilliant Silva and Yaya, creating opportunities for the attack. But he doesn't make the team.

In my view, KDB's real value to us is if / when Silva gets injured this season. Having De Bruyne in there along with the others would do a lot to keep the attack flowing. If we want to go deep into the Tourneys at home and in Europe, we really need redundancy at all key positions. My fingers are crossed -- Get it done!
 
Take it easy guys. Wolfsburg is just waiting for praet to come from Anderlecht. Once this deal is done, kdb will sign for city.

Stick with what we have,I wouldn't have a problem with that,navas I feel is underrated his defensive work and tracking back is second to none,how do we know that de bruyne will be a success anyhow there's never a sure fire guarantee,and the money quoted(although not mine) I feel he's slightly overpriced but as I said it's not my money...
 
Ric this morning said it could take a while yet - maybe the end of the window - as Wolfsburg are still holding off, possibly just until they get a replacement.

That is about all today from any ITKs I think.
 
It is not a coincidence that praet's agent frenay is best partner of de koster, kdb's manager. I bet they even suggest praet as a replacement for kdb on wolfsburg.

Or once that deal is done they'll let a less important player in Perisic sign for Inter :)

Just want this to end either way. KDB would be a great signing but if we don't land him we'll sign someone else (maybe not this summer) to improve us in that role. Think I would prefer a player more similar to Navas for that right side to be honest, the pace we have on both wings gives David so much freedom to do what he wants.

We are now trying to buy established quality players and trying to improve our side with the likes of the players you mentioned is extremely difficult. absolute fucking toss. I can't speak for what goes on in your head, but David Silva and Yaya Toure were absolute top player signings when we got them, admittedly we have made them even better. And you fail to mention Sergio Aguero FFS. We are not talking Smalling, Fellaini, Jones, Memphis here, christ
