Mancini don't need another DM to stand next to Fellaini to defend bomb from the air. A complete package DM like Fellaini will allow much more dynamism to the City's midfield imo.

Fellaini isn't fit to lace Nigels boots. He has 1 outstanding game a season and the rest of the time he's either average or shit. Even Everton fans don't rate him and these are the people who think we underpaid for Lescott.

That is complete BS.

They think he is their best player by a distance and all of them think he is alot better than De Jong.

-- Thu Jun 23, 2011 10:05 pm --

In the eyes of City fans, yes!

Incorrect. Also in the eyes of the ever so often biased (against City) pundits.

Sorry, I must have missed him featuring in the Teams of the Season, my bad.

Shakatak or whatever he's called was on here yesterday and said he didn't rate him. Have a look on their forums. they'd be happy to bring in a few quid selling Fellaini but don't want to lose Baines.
They think he's their best player ? Utter fucking bollocks.

So you're a Blue Dipper then, given that you are so in touch with their fanbase that you know what all of them think?

You really are ridiculous, your pathological anti-De Jong bias has reached such levels that you'll now present a guess as fact to further your agenda.

But anyway, lets sign Fellaini, he can keep the rest of our crocks company on the sickbed. 20 league appearances last season, 23 appearances the season before. Value for money that, especially the 20m+ Gollum would want from us.

Stats aren't everything but last season:

WITH NDJ in the Prem: W20 D6 L6 = 66pts at 2.06pts per game

WITHOUT NDJ: W1 D2 L3 = 5pts at 0.83pts per game

i asked sabster to comment on this in a similar thread a while back - he conveniently ignored it then too

I have commented on it - look.

Those stats aren't right, it is more like 2.06 with, 1.7 without but the point is that these stats is that they don't mean that much - balotelli was 2.34 with and 1.5 without.

even if your more negative stats are the right ones, thats 14 points a season - how can you say it doesnt mean that much?

I am sorry I no said one fucking ANTI-DE JONG thing ever.

You are a FUCKING joke.

I am not saying we should sign Fellaini but he is IMO better than De Jong.

The Majority of you suffer for a sever pathological De-Jong-Is-Perfect--And-Any-Sort-Of-Criticism-Means-That-Someone-Is-Saying-He-Is-Shit-Syndrome

in balotelli case how many season points are with him in the team ?

89 points with (likely PL winner)

57 without

Because it was based on so few gamesand there are so many other variables - and the stats also implied that starting upfront with Balotelli would be more profitable than Tevez.

Not once have I made an unfair comment towards him in this thread.

The guy doesn't have to agree with you all. I too don't think De Jong is WC. He is no better than Huddlestone, Lucas Leiva or Song. They all bring different advantages to the game, but their overall contributions are about the same. Bluemooner just overstate De Jong's impact.

That is exactly the level I think he is - not a bad player at all (although I would probably have Huddelstone over him)

Now you are taking the piss !!

I think the pro-Nigel contingent could probably be more accommodating of debate, but for anyone speaking on behalf of the entire Toffee fanbase claiming Fellaini is considered by far their best player... you know that kind of thing is researchable, right? I couldn't read the official club site because I don't have flash enabled, but their leading fansite doesn't even list him in the 5 polling options for best player of the season. Doesn't mean some people don't rate him there, but I can probably guarantee that most fans don't consider him far and away their best, or anywhere near it.

Need to be more wary of hyperbole, probably on both sides of the fence.
