de jong to napoli?

I am sorry I no said one fucking ANTI-DE JONG thing ever.

You are a FUCKING joke.

I am not saying we should sign Fellaini but he is IMO better than De Jong.

The Majority of you suffer for a sever pathological De-Jong-Is-Perfect--And-Any-Sort-Of-Criticism-Means-That-Someone-Is-Saying-He-Is-Shit-Syndrome

Criticism is one thing - endless attempts at proving how De Jong isn't as good as we think is another.

How is it so many people recognize you on sight? Because you pop up whenever there is a mention of De Jong with a slight on him. Every time I've seen your posts in the past year, an unusual amount of them have been devoted to De Jong, and every time you discuss him there is a negative slant. EVERY TIME. Some guy asked if he shagged your missus, which is probably a bit inappropriate but just goes to show how noticeable your anti-NDJ obsession is.

You are on a permanent crusade to tell us how wrong we are to rate him, almost a childish instinct to go against the norm because its cool to go against the majority. It's OK to like him, says you, but not OK to consider him one of the best in the world in his position.

Your cover up is always something weak like "he's an OK player, but but but..." or "City fans are blinded by their love for his passion..." (I don't know about others but - I love his passion, but Danny Tiatto had passion and I didn't consider him a good player because of it). It fools no one as this thread has shown.

But at least you have a staunch supporter in Dax.

I post where I generally feel the consensus of opinion is wrong, so generally that is De Jong, but when people criticize Barry incessantly, I will post there. I also post when people consistently crave more and more strikers, and to back up Mancini.

I see no point in posting thoughts that everyone agrees with.

My "cover-up" or my actual thoughts? I have allways praised his composure on the ball and his technical ability. IMO he lacks the athleticism to be a sole DM (in the mold of Makalele or Mascherano or Diarra) and thus does not contribute enough to the team.

To sum it up, I do not believe De Jong is good enough to be a guaranteed starter for a top top side - he can be a useful squad player. There is no crusade (compare this to what a good percentage write about Barry, Kolarov etc), just a desire to have a reasoned discussion about his strengths and weaknesses. However 99% seem to take any acknowledge of his weaknesses as some sort of personal insult.

Incorrect. Also in the eyes of the ever so often biased (against City) pundits.
When you tally the averages for his game to game ratings over a season, you'd find it is commensurate to those of Huddlestone, Song, and Leiva. His tackles are flashy in that he goes in with intense force to the delight of the fans. And the tackles are remembered often. But others accomplish similar goals by other means.

He is a good tackler, who passes the ball well and defends admirably. But he is not special. He is not fast, athletic or tall. Does not make quick decision on the ball, and is often too cautious (or worse, doesn't see the play). A good player but in no way dynamic.

Mancini don't need another DM to stand next to Fellaini to defend bomb from the air. A complete package DM like Fellaini will allow much more dynamism to the City's midfield imo.

Fellaini isn't fit to lace Nigels boots. He has 1 outstanding game a season and the rest of the time he's either average or shit. Even Everton fans don't rate him and these are the people who think we underpaid for Lescott.

That is complete BS.

They think he is their best player by a distance and all of them think he is alot better than De Jong.

Sums up close to my complete opinion on De Jong.

And Fellaini is better than De Jong without a shadow of a doubt - take off your blue-tinted specs.

You're right! He isn't tall. Send the prick back, I never thought of it like that. He just isn't tall. Sell him, and sell Silva whilst we're at it. Let's buy.........Fellaini, he's tall, yeeeeaaaahhhh!
