The Italian media stance is that our interest is very real and very strong but that Roma are simply refusing to do business, so not sure how this deal could be done unless money talks.

Interesting that it comes from a Blue but his timeline doesn't give the impression that he's an ITK. Wonder if he posts here and can tell us where he heard it.
 
Whilst I've ever confidence he is worth that money, Tolmie was pretty insistent that given the opportunity to buy him for a third of that passed in January we wouldn't be going back in with mega bucks just to he could be loyal to Roma in getting a big pay off.

dont know mate. the wife has twitter and if anything city comes up she tells me about it? hope its true but just cant see roma letting him go!
 
I'm personally skeptical we will get him to be honest, Roma need him too much to maintain their position in the italian league. I have no doubt we want him and are likely enquiring but I think City would save time just moving on as I don't think Roma are selling.

Thats my take anyway, I would love him here though.

I like Tolmie and I trust Tolmie. If Mancini has a chance to get him and we pass because of the money, I think there may be murder behind the scenes.
 
Fbloke has been banging on about Di Rossi saying we might still sign him when everyone else was sceptical
