His 'Camp', like a posse, the kind Floyd Mayweather has, where about two dozen sidekicks follow him around all day to signify his importance?

Im pretty sure Rice will make the decision in consultation with the mother of his child. I doubt there is committee on the future of Declan Rice with 15 members UN style.

Good story though.
Almost as good a story as your, he’ll make career choice based on his partner wanting help with shitty nappies

I’m torn. I’d be absolutely buzzing to get him personally - versatile, high ceiling, English and leaders mentality. Plus it would prevent strengthening a rival.

But if he’s more arsed about staying in London rather than joining a club - in the same country - that’s just won a treble then he can get fucked and learn to regret that at the end of his career.
exactly mentality is key for us and hunger for success. Let him stay in London and best of luck to him.

I can tell you it's very true, but not for the reasons people think and the London thing isn't set in stone, its something else driving it.

I get some good inside info on this one and have done for a few years now.

But there's a reason for it. City have had talks several times, but all they are are talks. His people are sick of "talks".

They were absolutely convinced he was going to Chelsea for two solid years. Last year Boehly did with him what he did with Ake. It left his team fuming and they absolutely do not want to be burned again.

I've asked but haven't heard back so my guess on today is one of two things.

1. West Ham are using City's name to drive the price up and speed a deal

or

2. City are genuine and have gone straight to West Ham to prove they are serious this time before talking to the Rice camp.

Tactically my guess is that if we are in for him Phillips is going the other way and/or Pep may look at another evolution and move Stones to RB where he can do John Stones things, with Rodri and Rice ahead and some sort of crazy thing up front to get Alvarez in more. I think buying Rice could signify a switch to a back 3.

For what it's worth, I think what you say make a lot of sense.

Something has obviously happened between Rice and Chelsea so much so that they aren't even in the conversation for him this year, and considering they were massive favourites before Boehly's arrival, that's a big u turn.

Plus the fact a boyhood player like Mason Mount, who happens to be 1 of Rice's best friends wants out of Chelsea, suggests that something has went wrong somewhere when negotiating with his team as well.

Feels like John terry situation being used to bait Arsenal to be rash to close the deal because the low ball the deal. Typical though. We might not even be in for him if the players camp expressed interest to the club. He could work out but wont be happening now with London preference.

Arsenal offered 40 mil under the price West ham wanted including add ons that would activate after Arsenal won the Premier league and Champions league according to a west ham journalist

There's a low offer and then there's just taking the piss.

This latter sounds promising. Stones in that hybrid role hasnt reached its peak!

So you think he would move to Manchester then?
