Declan Rice

What are you waffling on about. Teams have been parking the bus against Arsenal since Wenger was manager back in the late 1990's. If the smaller teams expected to battle relegation havent been parking the bus against us for over two decades, them ive been on heroin in those twenty years.

You got exposed tactically by Sporting Lisbon, Brighton , West ham , dismantled at our ground, Forest , Southampton nearly pulled it off so did Bournemouth. You lost the league due to Arteta not being Tactically astute all teams mentioned copyed the tactics improved them a little bit at a time they cut spaces off and exposed your high line. Counter attack, control , second balls and controlling transitions

You have plan A and no plan b. When plan A fails of possession, quick passes , wing play you have no out. You can't hold leads either. When it's going good your players are brilliant but when the pressure is at the highest you crumbled Anfield a major example of that.

Your player of the season Odegaard a captain when everything is going well , a coward when the pressure is high lost the ball in midfield against us and never recovered. Star boy as your fans like to call him Saka went missing when pressure was at the highest at the end of the season. When leaders were needed they were not there.

The question is, is Arteta good enough to find a way to win against teams next season who know how you play now, since your no longer the surprise package, they know how you play , they know what you want to do and teams at the end of the season that I mentioned sussed you out. Which cost you the league and a European trophy.

This might be the most terrible football twitter type opinion I have, but if he does actively choose to go to Arsenal over City because he wants to stay in London. You have to question his mentality a bit. It's arguably the safe choice because they aren't expected to win so the pressure is off him. They might pick up the fa cup but they're not challenging on all 4 fronts like us.

Players like Rice can move the train. How do you think you went from Joey Barton & Stuart Pearce to Kevin De Bruyne & Pep? Its because of forward ambition and not accepting your present position.

If Rice joins Arsenal, he will link up with Odegaard to form the basis of our midfield. You dont think Rice and Odegaard is a strong basis to build midfield from? Given both players are 24?

I think is he doesn't win anything other than an Fa cup at Arsenal it's no deviation from the norm of the last 20 years. If he doesn't win anything at City he'll be shipped out and replaced by someone who can or coached until he does win multiple major honors. That might be pressure he doesn't want.

Arsenal are building a much younger dynamic team, rice will only add to it, pep maybe the best coach in the world, but a lot of players have turned him down in the past. 'Arsenal are no where near city's level', they soon will be if rice joins
Cant agree with any of this. City just won the league for the third time in a row. We also won a historic treble. Arsenal collapsed and won nothing. They didn’t even give us a good run for our money as Liverpool have done in the past. Arsenal are miles behind us at the moment.

the thing that amuses me about the meltdown some people have here is that it's actually based on a *lack* of news. they've convinced themselves that the fact nothing concrete has been reported in the last 48 hours must mean it's dead.

Anyone having a meltdown over not signing Declan rice needs to take a long hard look at themselves

That ‘pressure’ is what Pro’s want. They want to play with the best, win stuff and challenge themselves. City is the place to be to achieve all three.

Said it all along, if he puts location over glory then that’s his prerogative.

Good luck to him if he goes there, brilliant player and would improve Arsenal no end.
If he puts location over pirsuing trophies then he doesn’t have the mentality of an elite player. We need players who want to be Champions

People shouldn't take the outcome too personally. Why feel insecure two weeks after the Treble? City will challenge for the big trophies, Rice or no Rice. He isn't a game changer. We couldn't sign Kane but signed Haaland...

That said, it's too early to say what's going to happen. Maybe Txiki/Pep are talking to his camp as we discuss the situation on here. He may change his mind (I guess he was keen to join Arsenal before we showed interest), why not? Nothing is decided yet. Hence the lack of big news.

.

Be a great signing for us on & off the field. He’s a humble guy which pep likes.

Think pep signing England’s best players so when he becomes the next manager.
