Declan Rice

There are alternate points of view. Rice could go to Arsenal and instantly be part of the spine along with Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Saliba (all of which are under 24). Rice could come to Arsenal and instantly be part of the core as a place will be made for him in his preferred position. We are investing beyond Rice and keeping our players. Arteta is a young manager in the infancy of his Arsenal tenure and is likely to stay for a long time. If Rice joined Man City and signed a 5 year deal, who will be his manager in years 3-4-5? Pep is winding down at City and has likely signed his last contract. There is also a cloud that looms over Man City that could become a storm. Plus there is the London factor and home comfort.

Not every road points to Man City.
Pep is winding down at City?!

One of the things you can never aim at Pep is that he "winds down". Quite the opposite, is there a more intense manager in the game when it comes to detail, fresh thinking, and a desire to keep himself and everyone around him fully focused?

There can’t be many worse suggestions than Rice as Gundogan’s replacement. Kovacic deal was sorted because of it I think. Incomings won’t be as crazy in general imo, Can’t see anyone else other than maybe Gvardiol in, depending on Laporte’s exit
If Bernardo leaves, which in truth looked more likely than Gundogan leaving, then we'll need additions.

Fuck me you’ve got it bad. If the so called cloud was going to be a storm it would have been here now. Sadiq Khan’s London with its stabbings butted up against middle class knob Just Stop Oil protestors ain’t all that.

That's why it feels so good to be a blue. After what we've just achieved I'm going to be on a lilo for two years, knowing full well our manager will be the exact opposite.

There is an alternate point of view. Arsenal have a bad start to the season and by Xmas the Arsenal fans are screaming for Arteta to be sacked happened before just saying

Utter tripe, rumour is Pep has already extended and it’ll be announced when they see fit. I genuinely cant see Pep not doing 10 years so that’s at least another years extension to come. If he hasn’t thought and does go, then so be it he goes.
As for Arteta, you assume he’ll be there for years to cone… What if Barça come knocking? What if Pep does leave, do you think he’d not be tempted by a move back to City? You’re daft if you think he wouldn’t.
Two years under Pep will teach him more than Five under Arteta I can guarantee you of that. This is your issue though, and why you’ll continue to fail, your ethos is to buy one star and build around them, how often has that worked? We are a team, it’s why we won the treble, we don’t have one player we have a family and togetherness and until Arteta gets that in place at Arsenal you’ll continue to fall short. It’s why you bottled it when it mattered, you had zero belief and demanded your superstars rode you through it instead of having faith they’d all gel and pull you through it together as one unit. Your fans constantly passed blame to individuals!
One thing I do agree with is your last sentence, every road doesn’t lead to Man City you’re correct…. Unless you want to guarantee winning things of course, and then yeh it does.
