Don’t see how he’d operate as an 8/Gundogan replacement. Kev’s out for a while, Gundogan’s a good source of goals, bit worried we’re only linked with defensive players.

Exactly. In 32 PL matches this season, Phil contributed 11 goals and 5 assists from the wing. That's with some of his struggles this season, and next season he will get a chance to play in a role he is more suited to. I reckon Phil will have close to 25 goal contributions next season.
